PRAKRITI + VIKRUTI
Getting to know yourself with crystal clear clarity so you can build healthy relationships - not just with others and the community, but with yourself first and foremost- isn’t easy. There’s so much that has already happened. How do you get a handle on a lifetime of certain pains, reactions, behaviors, likes, and dislikes that have seemingly gotten you to where you are currently? Do you ever stop and think about the things you’ve always done —
and wondered why and where they came from?
Your origins help you to know yourself deeply, so that you can expand further.
Through the eyes of ayurveda, you have an individual constitution, or body type, which is fully unique to you, based on your doshic balance and the elements present in your body and mind. An ayurvedic assessment is undertaken to determine the client's ayurvedic constitution (Prakriti) and imbalances (Vikruti).
This knowledge empowers wellness seekers in turn to attain better health with the addition of long term shifts in their lifestyle.
During your initial ayurvedic consultation, we will ask you to share your personal medical history, family history, and your long-term and current patterns of daily diet, professional and working conditions, exercise, sleep, hydration, other routines, relationships, mental health, and more.
Ayurveda encourages us to use all of our senses to be in the present moment.
Try these self-inquiry questions to get comfortable being in the now:
When you close your eyes and sit in stillness, what sounds do you hear? What colors do you see? What scents do you smell? How long have you been feeling the way that you feel?
Has this pattern you have become aware of been lifelong? Or is it new to you?
What do you feed your soul with?
What brings you joy?
How do you want to show up in the world?
“There is a need for clarity in relationships. Because clarity, is compassion. And compassion is love. Therefore love, is clarity. And without this love… there is no happiness. And without this love, there is no joy. And without love, there is no beauty in life.“
— Dr. Vasant Lad on relationships
